Unable to Create Visual,

Hi!

I am trying to create a new custom visual.
I have successfully installed the node.js 18.17.0 and installed the powerbi-visual-tools. The version is powerbi-visuals-tools version - 5.0.2. But when I create a new custom visual, It gives an error:

Unable to create visual.
Error: Package install failed.
at file:///C:/Users/AAKASH/AppData/Roaming/npm/node_modules/powerbi-visuals-tools/lib/VisualManager.js:138:28  .

Please help me in solving this issue.

Hi @AakashMarasini,

I'm using v4.3.2 of the tools and from the looks of things, I would need to heavily test migrating my projects to v5 before I could look into this personally.

I would suggest creating an issue in the GitHub repo for the team to provide feedback on. On the surface it looks like a bug to me, as there's very little you can do wrong if you have followed the instructions.

(I notice there are commits and details for a v5.0.3, which may have not got to NPM yet, so I'm not sure if they've fixed anything to do with the issue you've observed. The file in the stack trace ha sno further changes, so I assume not).
