Can Fabric data warehouse be the external data source for Azure SQL database?

Hi All,

 

I am wondering whether I could create an external table in Azure SQL database which references Fabric data warehouse data.

 

Appreciate for any advice.

Based on my understanding, that wont be possible.

Reason: extrenal table /elastic queries within Azure SQL database only support SQL authentication and no AD based authentication.

 

And fabric warehouse doesnt support SQL accounts.
