The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Here you can download the list of all ip addresses Microsoft uses: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56519. You can add all Fabric addresses as trusted IPs in your source. However, I recommend you to create one static IP address for your environment as the IP addresses above are also changing (and is a big list which every Fabric user uses). You can set a static IP with the following steps:

Create a VM with static IP

Install a Fabric on-premises gateway in the VM.

Add the static IP address from the VM to your data source as a trusted connection

Use the gateway in DataFlow gen2 (or pipeline for that matter)

Hi, does the connection that works use a gateway to connect to the source?
Or you may have added the IP address of Power BI , but did not add the IP address of Fabric.

Hi @FabianSchut

its a cloud connection, and its the same cloud connection i use from the pipeline?

if I need to whitelist something, how do I find the ip/service to whitelist?
