Hello,
I am interested in creating a map in Power Bi that will host sites and buildings associated with the sites. Currently, we use Bluebeam where we insert a Google Earth map of the site and then label the buildings:
I've looked at James Dales IconMap and was able to associate icons for the various sites and then was hoping to drill-down to each site to display the buildings associated with the site. However, from what I've read the icon part is not able to drill down or keep a lable showing like above. I read that this can be accomplished with a Shape map.
I want to load all the sites/buildings into Power Bi and have a map that I can drill down to just one site and then buildings and have those maps print with a label like the above graphic.
Is a shape map the best solution?
Is there a better way to go about this?
I'm not able to purchase any external tools at this time, so I am not using IconMap Pro.
Kind Regards,
Carol

After "playing" with Icon Map a bit more I found where I could apply labels. Also, signed up for Mapbox to create a custom background. This was all I really needed, although there are a lot of options, I'll stick with this for now.
