My Learning Roadmap for Data Engineering in 2025 โ€“ Top Courses That Helped Me

Hey everyone!

Iโ€™m a fresher who was really overwhelmed by all the long data engineering roadmaps out there. After trying a few paths, I put together a more focused learning plan that actually worked for me over 3โ€“4 months.

Here are the courses that helped the most:

  • Prepzee Bootcamp โ€“ Short, structured program that helped me build real cloud projects (GCP & AWS)
  • Google Cloud Skills Boost โ€“ Free labs and skill badges that are great for hands-on learning
  • Coursera (IBM & Google tracks) โ€“ Good for learning the basics of Python, SQL, and ETL pipelines

I shared the full guide I used (including tips, tools, and how I stayed on track) in a blog here:

Top Data Engineering Courses to Learn in 2025

If anyoneโ€™s looking for a practical starting point, feel free to check it out. Happy to share my GitHub repo or learning tracker if it helps!

Yes, I read your tips and found them really helpfulโ€”thank you for sharing! The way you simplified the learning roadmap makes a lot of sense, especially for someone starting out like me.
Could you please share where you enrolled in the Prepzee Bootcamp? Would love to follow a similar path. Also, would appreciate if you could share your GitHub repo or learning tracker too

I enrolled in the Prepzee Data Engineering Bootcamp directly through their official website: https://prepzee.com. They have a flexible schedule and hands-on projects that really helped reinforce my learning.

@komalp Thank you for putting together such a clear and practical roadmapโ€”it really gave me a solid starting point. And I appreciate you sharing the Prepzee link! Iโ€™ll definitely check out the bootcamp. Looking forward to learning more and hopefully following a similar journey.
