Unable to access Notebook with Python in VS Code.

Hello Team,

We have the option for VS Code desktop in the notebook and we are trying to use it as we don't want to use pyspark and want to use Python for our project. However, we are facing some concerns while handling this. The concerns are as follows:

1. How can we connect a data lake directly on VS Code so that we can use it for our project?

2. How can we use Python instead of PySpark Python on the Fabric Notebook?

3. Is it possible to use a data lake from our VS Code desktop and use Python as a language for our project? If so, then how can we do that?

We can find the extension of the data lake in VS Code, but once installed, I am unable to figure out how to use it.

Looking forward to hearing from you members on this concern as soon as possible.

Regards,

Devanshu Tayal

Hello Xiaoxin,

Thanks for the solution.

I have installed the JDK in my system from the link provided at the Microsoft website. I tried to run the notebook but it's still throwing me error.

I have followed each step given in the website from microsoft.

I would really appreciate if you can help us with the same.

My Concern is simple that I want to use jupyter notebook (Language to be used is Python not Pyspark) in VS code using the datasource from Microsoft Fabric data lake. How can I do that.

Hope to get a positive response from your side.

Thanks

Devanshu Tayal
