Hi,

After the March update (Version: 2.141.1253.0 64-bit (March 2025)), almost all of the visuals are showing errors.

Here is the prompt when clicking "See details":

Error fetching date for this visual

An expected error occured (file " , line , function ").

Hi there! I also encountered the same issue with the Power BI Desktop May 2025 version while running it on a Mac using Parallels. And PBI desktop 32bit works for me with my setup, I installed it and have no issues now. Try this workaround till 32bit is available.

Power BI Desktop 32bit wonโ€™t be supported after June this year.

I had the same issue running in HyperV - to solve it - uncheck the Compatibility setting in the properties of the VM. I am guessing this has something with a different (limited) instruction set not specifically ARM.

Disabling HyperVisor in parallels does not fix it for me.

Hi everyone, how are you doing? Iโ€™m facing a similar problem to what some people have described here in Power BI: โœ… Scenario: I have the same Power BI file running on two computers: Notebook Lenovo Gaming 3i (i5-11300H) โ€” works perfectly fine with the latest version of Power BI Desktop. Production computer with Pentium Gold G6405 โ€” shows errors in visuals. โœ… Issue: On the production computer, when I apply a relative date filter (for example, filtering the earliest date in an interval), some visuals return an error and donโ€™t load properly. On the notebook, everything works fine with the exact same PBIX file.

Still the same problem: Apple M4 Pro - 15.5 (24F74) Parallels Desktop 20 20.4.0 (55980) Windows 11 Pro 26100.4652 Power BI Desktop Version: 2.145.1105.0 64-bit (July 2025) 32 bit version is not a solution because it is much too tedious to work with, plus further development ends this month Downgrading is also not an option, as reports from versions newer than February 2025 were processed and cannot be opened with the old version now

Is there any way to track this issue? I could not see it on the "Known issues" list on the Microsoft Power BI Section. It also gave me the run around when I clicked the "Report an issue" link. It would be nice if we could track this somewhere and that it has been acknowledged by Microsoft

Hi, raised this ticket today and go contacted by the agent. Below is his response: power BI Desktop is not natively built for ARM64 architecture, which means it runs in emulation mode on Snapdragon X devices. This can lead to DAX execution failures, especially when working with large or complex data models -You have understood but this issue was for global customers you have asked whether it is possible to fix this issue in coming versions. - We have mentioned that we will be reaching to internal team and according to that we will be updating you as of now there is no specific ETA on that. Next Steps: As agreed, Iโ€™ll be closing this case . Although the ticket is closed, you may reach out to me directly for any queries related to this issue. Iโ€™m fully accountable for your end to end experience of this support request and I hope you are delighted with Microsoft support. If you have any queries/issues in the future, please create a new service request and reply on the same email thread with the details, I'm happy to help you. We appreciate your support and partnership with Microsoft. You are our valuable customer, and we strive to assist you better and better every day. Thank you again from Microsoft Power BI Support.

If we are going to continue getting nothing from support then I want Microsoft to return and credit the top of the line Surface Laptop 7 I purchased last Summer and replace it with an equivalent X64/86 system. I am continuing to develop on the version prior to this bug, and as far as I'm concerned this is a defective laptop unable to correctly execute Microsoft software and platforms.
