Same issue. Is it related to the September update?

Same issue here. Only happens when im working on my azure vm and i disconnect my laptop from the docking station. maybe related to the switch from wired ethernet to wireless???

all the work I ve done is not saved in Power BI and now I got the screen all black and that message saying issue with webview2 any solutions please!

I use Power BI Desktop a lot, like all day every day for the last 10+ years. I haven't had a WebView crash since August 2023, so over 2 years now.

If you are experiencing this issue, IMO it is most likely your machine is underpowered for the complexity of the model you are working with. I would either try to upgrade to a scalable VM, or switch to the web UI.

The web UI has few remaining limitations - I expect 99% of semantic models will not be impacted. In some aspects the functionality is superior eg version history, multiple browser tabs.
